Level I Certification: Cold Exposure Guide

Fundamentals and Foundations for guiding safe and impactful cold exposure therapy sessions using The Unbounded Method.

Course Description: In-depth review of Unbounded theory, methods, and practical applications of leading safe deliberate cold exposure, breathwork, and primal therapy practices indoors in showers, and tubs, as well as outdoors in still open water.

Resource review includes 50 hours of theory review, 100 hours of practical review and twelve weeks of weekly modules in addition to the four-day intensive training in person at Cold Camp.

This four day intensive container is referred to as your immersion cohort training dates.

This course certification covers facilitation indoors, outdoors in showers, cold tubs and in shallow open water.

Prerequisite(s) are defined as course(s) that must be taken prior to enrollment.

• Align with Unbounded's values in health optimization, and primal wellness experience living; education, experience, empowerment and encouragement.

• Align with Unbounded’s key pillars in daily life: community, sustainability, daily wellness lifestyle, primal therapy wellness education.

• Have practiced a minimum of 50 cold therapy dips (indoor or outdoor & not inclusive of cold showers).

• Passionate about the community, personal cold and hot therapy practice, the physical and mental benefits associated with the practice as well as the instructor aspect in leading others in this practice.

• Demonstrates superior leadership, training and coaching skills in your life and community currently.

• Committed to the principles of Unbounded’s primal therapy methods outlined and taught in this training: Education, Experience, Empowerment and Encouragement.

• Agree to Unbounded terms, conditions and the code of conduct commitment in representing the brand for a minimum of two years.

Co-Requisite(s) are defined as courses / education / experience that must be ongoing or simultaneously registered for to enroll in this course.

• Minimum two years of teaching/coaching experience in an adjacent environment is considered an asset (e.g. yoga, coaching, guiding, leading, etc).

• First Aid Certificate (either complete or signed up for a future date within three months of training date).

• Experience with practicing cold water therapy as a practitioner.

Concurrent Enrolment: course(s) are defined as education we encourage to be taken simultaneously.

• Trauma informed courses and or experience training is considered an asset.

• Outdoor wilderness training and experience is considered an asset.

• Breathwork Training Courses

• Other relevant courses such as sound healing, yoga training, other wellness related fields complimenting the experience.

Recommended Preparation: course work or background that is advisable, not mandatory

• Attend an Unbounded experience: Event, Unbounded Well, Cold Camp, Workshop

• Volunteer with Unbounded at: Event, Unbounded Pop-ups, Cold Camp, Workshops, or Events.

• Practice over 100 cold therapy dips (indoor or outdoor & not inclusive of cold showers) leading up to the training.

• Practice sharing your passion of breathwork, deliberate cold exposure with 10 people who have never practiced deliberate cold exposure before.

• Practice sharing your passion of breathwork, deliberate cold exposure while practicing deliberate cold exposure with others inside of a group experience (open water, lake, spa venue).

• Review as many resources as possible prior to the training, get to know the brand and folks in your cohort once training package is sent.

• Introduce yourself to the Unbounded community, attendees and trainers.

For all Unbounded Certifications:

Complete compulsory education in order to continue theory content requirement to complete each course: 50 hours minimum of reading, study, resources.

Complete Four Day Immersion Training at Cold Camp.

Complete modules and associated training requirements.

Complete personal practice journal of 100 cold exposure practices.

Complete compulsory practical hours in order to continue practical component requirement to complete this course: 100 hours minimum of practicing guiding, teaching, and reviewing class session details with family.

Compulsory education to complete during the theory commitment of 50 hour minimum requirement for continued education.
